If you have a sweet tooth (or your guests do!) then you will certainly want to chat with Ash and Ruksana from Domeafava at the Tiny Weddings Fair on 30th Sept at the Wycombe Swan. They are based in Slough and supply wedding and party favours for all occasions and they also hire out a fabulous sweet ferris wheel.
Please tell us a little about what you provide for weddings.
We provide favours for all occasions from cupcakes and pick and mix sweets to small and cute gift ideas to guest on weddings and parties, we have a ferris wheel which is our centre attraction which guests absolutely love! We have been doing this now for just under two years.
What do you love about tiny weddings?
We love to see the intimacy and closeness.
How do you think the couples are different when working with a large wedding versus a tiny wedding?
In our experience they are far more relaxed due to less co ordination and planning.
What are the main differences in the way you do business when dealing with a tiny wedding?
Not a lot to be honest, for any wedding the bride and groom requests are at the forefront so we will always put them first regardless of size
Can you tell us about a tiny wedding you have worked on recently?
We had a tiny wedding at short notice in Birmingham which we were asked to do something for; we catered for both the adults and children favours by providing pick and mix sweets for kids and nuts for adults, and set up our ferris wheel with cupcakes.
Do you feel there has been an increase in tiny weddings in the past few years?
We have only recently started this business so we can’t really say from a business perspective. However we have noticed even through friends and family’s weddings the numbers are definitely trimming.
If you could create something for a tiny wedding anywhere in the world, any theme, any couple; where or what or whom would it be?
I would recreate my own wedding with my wife at Anfield Stadium with all the LFC team in attendance. Although I don’t think this is a unanimous vote for the Domeafava team!
